American TESOL Institute has discovered that though there are plenty of teacher training institutes

In recent years, American TESOL Institute has discovered that though there are plenty of teacher training institutes and courses that help aspiring and professional teachers to learn the latest methodologies of teaching, there are very few courses aimed for academicians and administrative officials or leaders of academic institutes to learn the modern skills of running an academic institute successfully. Running any organization requires a great amount of technique and running a school or a college even more so. Apart from being an academician, one would have to learn the facets of planning a budget for a particular year, assigning course works to utilize the human resources to its best ability, delve into marketing, organize training processes for the faculty, handle any crisis that may arise and to see after day to day operations. This is no mean task and therefore, ATI has introduced its Diploma in Educational Administration and Management program. This course is designed to incorporate the latest methodologies of operating educational institutes and has been designed by the best minds in the business. Comprehensive and inexpensive makes it easy for most people to pursue the course and an opportunity to not only run the academic institutes but run them with élan and become a leader in the field of education.

We’re a company that’s in good company.

We have a real understanding for what it takes to become a nurse. ATI Nursing Education began with the help of a nurse and many nurses are a valued part of our company today. We also have a real understanding for what it takes to pass high stakes tests. We boast a team of people (graduate degreed psychometricians) who specialize in tests.
Nursing students are not created equally. Some are young. Some are middle-aged. Some are moms. Some are dads. Some are morning people. Some are night owls. Some learn by the book. Others learn best online – which you should know, we are the leader in online learning. Intuitively, ATI Nursing Education's learning systems are designed to teach the way individuals learn. Whether it’s an RN or a PN program, we’re with your students from the beginning of school through the beginning of their nursing career and it’s done with the kind of personal caring attention that’s synonymous with nursing.
With our help, students garner great results in high stakes test preparation with pass rates closer to 100% than any other education system in the market. It’s no surprise that we’re the first choice for more nurse educators, universities and colleges nationwide.

DO YOU ASPIRE TO BE A TRAINER?

Some information in this article can be found on the Training Institute of Queensland website. No copyright infringement intended.
You can and you will with your natural skills in dealing with people.
There’s more to a trainer than just having exemplary public speaking skills. Trainers need to have a natural liking for people and find it effortless in dealing with them. Trainers have the talent to present themselves with confidence before a large audience and the aptitude to create and design training materials relevant to their audience.
For you to be a good trainer you should have the flexibility to deal with unexpected moments, a good sense of humour and needless to say, a never ending passion about the subject matter presented.
If you have the knack for it, go for it.
It is also important to know that there is a big difference between normal teaching and workplace training. Teaching is usually associated with a classroom lecture wherein the teacher takes on the authority figure role over his or her students who are more likely to follow his or her instructions.
Trainers, on the other hand, provide their “students” with the tools and skills they need to change behaviour or to develop new skills. Since trainers mostly deal with mature audiences, changing behaviours or imparting new skills can be very challenging as these audiences already have their own experiences and perceptions. Trainers ought to build a strong connection to their subjects to get their message or mission across.
Training others is a gift; a formal qualification for it is essential.

ARE YOU READY FOR A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGERIAL POSITION?

Some information in this article can be found on the Training Institute of Queensland website.
You can’t be a mere personnel clerk all your life. There’s got to be a way for you to ultimately be in the Human Resource managerial level.
Are you ready for the challenge?
Good. Read on.
Yes, you have been with the company for almost 10 years and you already know the ins and outs of your 9 to 6 job. In fact, you can perform Human Resource tasks with your eyes closed—and with passion! Piece of cake, you say.
Well and good, then. That gives you one advantage from the pack of managerial aspirants.
The second question is do you have the qualification?
A Diploma in Human Resource Management will very well prepare you for a challenging role in the management level. The good news these days is that you need not give up on your day time job to pursue a nationally recognised human resource management qualification. Explore online study options after work.
Indeed, experience and qualification are sure winners to land you in a better (and better paying) HR position. These, coupled with passion, a natural liking for people, decision skills, thorough knowledge of the law, and the ability to plan and strategise cost-effective programs for your department can make you the ideal HR Manager or Specialist a company would look for.
But the challenge does not stop there. The final question is: Are you aware of the challenges HR executives are facing today?
According to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the three biggest challenges facing HR executives over the next 10 years are:
• Retaining and rewarding the best employees
• Developing the next generation of corporate leaders
• Creating a corporate culture that attracts the best employees to organizations
This is quite a challenge indeed especially that today’s workforce is composed of 4 different generations namely Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y. A great percentage of the present workforce is the Generation Y or the Millenials and Y’ers are a different working breed.
If you want to have a growing career in the Human Resource world, don’t confine yourself to your cubicle. Be in the know of the current trends and studies and use this information to address improvement concerns for an effective workforce.
Summing it up, relevant experience, formal qualification, leadership qualities and a good grasp of the human resource “market” are undoubtedly important means to ultimately achieve a Human Resource management position that you’ve long aimed for.Are you up for the challenge? MIDLIFE IS YOUR BEST TIME AND CHANCE FOR A CAREER CHANGE

Some information contained in this article is taken from the Training Institute of Queensland blog with permission from the author.
“What? Did you say a career change at this point? I just quit my nice paying job despite my financial crisis! Now you’re telling me I’ll switch to something unfamiliar? I am already in my 40s, confused on what to do, and fearful I might not be able to handle it. You’ve got to be kidding. Well, I’ll give it some thought, perhaps.”
You might be experiencing midlife crisis.
These days, psychologists would rather not use the term midlife crisis. They would rather call it midlife transition. They say that while this stage can put mid-lifers to serious depression, this can also be a phase of significant growth for them. The thing is you need to be aware of it and do something to alleviate your situation.
For career individuals experiencing the midlife transition, it’s not the end of your career yet. To keep you mentally sharp, socially engaged and ultimately achieve financial security for retirement, consider a career change.
Easier said than done, you say. But think about it– a totally new career can
be one of the answers to your search for a more fulfilling and meaningful career
life.
You need to have the willingness to get you started. The fear of change is just normal. The trick is not to entertain fear and just move forward.
Career consultant Helen Harkness of Career Design Associates Inc. provides these 5 essential steps to get you started.
Recognize your feeling
It’s either that your current career is no longer available or needed in the workplace or not personally gratifying anymore. Boldly face the situation realizing the necessity of a career change.
Look inward
This is the basic step to ultimately determine what you have and must have to be successful. Carefully assess yourself (better yet with a career counsellor) and write down possible careers.
Look outward
Research and explore for resources for that career match. Make use of personal and professional contacts, the Internet, books and classes.
Look forward
Making a decision is very important. Make up your mind what career is the best match for you taking into consideration your skills and interests with reference to the present job opportunities and beyond.
Take action steps
Use all job search resources online and offline. Harness says: Get comfortable travelling with an incomplete map and unexpected detours to achieve success in our age of uncertainty.
To all the mid-lifers out there who want a second chance at a more satisfying career life, stop brooding. This is the best time for a new career! Get started now and have a (mid) life!
